FROM HAND TO HAND

Until a human can receive new tissue, it requires many individual steps. It is important, that minimal time passes between the removal, the transport, and the processing and up to the documentation and the insertion of the tissue. It is fascinating how these different institutions cooperate so that the tissue transplant finds its new home within a patient. On this journey, it passes from one hand to another.

This project was created in cooperation with the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gewebetransplantation“ (DGFG). The stories and information about the topic of tissue donation were visualized by seven students from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover. The result is a magazine which will be distributed to hospitals in Germany and a poster exhibition which will take place in several public buildings all over Germany.

Here you can see the project on the DGFG website.
