Amelie (*1996, Munich) is a documentary visual storyteller based in Hanover (Germany), focusing on Portraiture. Since 2017, Amelie has been studying Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover, Germany. In spring 2021, she completed the international Photo II program at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus (Denmark). 

In her work, Amelie is primarily interested in gender-sensitive topics and empowerment-related issues. In her narrative, she combines different kinds of visual approaches and plays with fiction and reality. Photography is a tool for her to access subjects, places, and people she would never discover without her camera. Amelie’s long-term projects focus on visual analyses and interpretations of hidden and intimate realities in a collaborative way.
