Amelie Sachs is a documentary visual storyteller based in Munich (Germany), focusing on Portraiture and longterm projects. She graduated in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover, Germany in 2023 and completed the International Photo II program at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus (Denmark) in 2021.

In her work, Amelie is primarily interested in gender-sensitive topics and empowerment-related issues. In her narratives, she combines different kinds of visual approaches and plays with fiction and reality. Photography is a tool for her to access subjects, places, and people she would never discover without her camera. Amelie’s long-term projects focus on visual analyses and interpretations of hidden and intimate realities in a collaborative way.
